Track your path to your ending results.
Tracking your progress allows you the ability to look back at your work and see how far you have come. Not only does it give you a starting pace it also makes it more real. Leaders don’t just show up with a plan and it works out. A lot of times when you see someone being successful at an art, they sat down and made a plan for it. They had weekly goals, quarter goals, hell, they m ight even have personal goals that no one would ever know. This should be a start for all failures. You don’t want to repeat the same mistake.
If you have been following me, you know how much I say, journal, journal, journal. You can also try a planner. Find one that matches your style. As a type A/minmialist, I found it so hard to find the perfect journal/planner for me. I did research to the max to find exactly what would be beneficial to my success.
Don’t shy away from your lack of understanding.
Failure comes in all shapes and sizes. You are probably not the first to make it either. Most mistakes are made in ignorance and through not knowing better. Education is so important. You don’t know something? Take a class- look for a mentor. It all can help move you forward. Now, I’m not saying to walk around with a big red A on your chest. What I am saying is that when you know your strengths and weaknesses, you are already ten steps ahead of a lot of people in your situation.
For example, I started blogging in November 2023. I didn’t take any classes and just relied on my interpretation. One day, I was confused as to why I wasn’t getting any traffic to my website. It wasn’t until I thought about it. I needed help, and I didn’t know what I was doing. Yes, I paid well over 700$ in course- but I am so glad I did. 3 months later, I was able to get monetized and somewhat know what I am doing. Obviously- you hear right?

Check your ego at the door.
Ego is man’s worst enemy. Ego is a person’s sense of self-esteem or self-importance. I am sorry if this is your first time hearing this, but the world does not revolve around you. Tell yourself this first before failure reminds you. You are not above change.
This is the beauty of life. We are human and understand our place in the world better than any other being on this earth. Don’t let your ego get you stuck in stagnant water. Yeah, you made a mistake, but there’s always today like there was yesterday. You owe it to your time on earth to know you are not above to stair at your faults in the eye and growing from it. Will it sting? Yes, but in the end, we have to understand why we are here.
Set up boundaries for yourself.
One of the biggest lessons failure teaches us is where our limits are—and where we need to create some boundaries. Maybe you overextended yourself, took on too much, or trusted the wrong people. Now’s the time to protect your energy. Say “no” when necessary, guard your time like it’s your last piece of chocolate, and only invest in things (and people) that align with your goals.
Yeah, this sounds easier said than done, but how important is this for you? You only get one life, and if failure is what is keeping you from turning over that one card that could change your life… You are wasting time and will have to take a leap one day or another. Why not leap in a direction you have a choice in? And if you fall, just get right on back up.

Turn your negative experience into a positive
Every failure comes with a hidden lesson; it’s like an unwanted gift, but hey, it’s still a gift! Instead of dwelling on what went wrong, ask yourself, “What can I learn from this?” Maybe it’s a new strategy, a better approach, or simply a realization that you need to pivot. Turn that L into a learning experience, and you’ll be better prepared next time.
There probably won’t be a next time because you’ll be way more equipped to handle the situation. You are what makes your experiences. It’s all about how you want to perceive this lesson. Keep in mind that life is what you make it.
Try try again
Nobody likes failing, but the only real failure is quitting. If something didn’t work out, tweak your approach and go for it again. Most success stories are built on a mountain of past failures. Thomas Edison? He failed over 1,000 times before inventing the lightbulb. J.K. Rowling? Rejected by 12 publishers before Harry Potter became a global sensation.
Everybody makes mistakes. The thing is, no one focuses on the failure if you succeed at least once.

Everyone makes mistakes- No one is perfect.
Seriously, show me someone who’s never failed, and I’ll show you someone who’s never tried anything challenging. Making mistakes is part of the human experience. Even the most successful people have stumbled (sometimes spectacularly). Instead of beating yourself up, remind yourself that perfection is a myth and mistakes are just stepping stones to success.
I like to think that although we have social media that make it seem that everyone has there crap together, you dont know what everyone is dealing with. Everyone’s story is being written just like yours, and yes, they too are dealing with ego and mistakes of their own.
Start fresh
Sometimes, the best way to bounce back is to hit the reset button. Take a step back, breathe, and start with a clean slate. Whether that means reworking your approach, switching gears entirely, or just taking a short break to clear your head, don’t be afraid to start over. A fresh perspective can do wonders.
What is something that brings you peace? This is so important to think about when you are on your journey to bounce back from failure. It can be so tiresome when all you are doing is focusing on being perfect all the time. Take it from me.
Celebrate what you did do right
Yes, you failed at something, but that doesn’t mean you failed at everything. Acknowledge what you did well, even if it’s just the fact that you had the guts to try in the first place. Celebrate small wins and use them as motivation to keep pushing forward.
You have so much to be grateful for; you have time to make mistakes, and you survived the ones you made. Not many people get to say that. That in itself is amazing. Give yourself grace and a pat on he back. You’ve made it this far, right?
