*This blog is about Things no one tells you about Pilates.
Let’s be honest, Pilates looks peaceful. You see the calm breathing, the graceful poses, the pastel mats… and think, “Yeah, that looks relaxing.” Plot twist: it’s not. I was blessed to attend my first-ever pilates class, and besides the cost of it all, I left with so much more of an idea of what pilates means and is. Thanks to the instructor and their guidance, I plan on taking what I learn through my daily life.
Pilates is the sneaky overachiever of workouts. It won’t yell at you like boot camp or make you sprint up hills; it’ll just quietly set your abs on fire while you pretend to “breathe through it.” I truly felt like it was just a kinky workout that you didn’t know you needed.
Pilates doesn’t shout for your attention; it earns it. You won’t see instant results, but you’ll feel them: stronger posture, calmer mind, and a core that could probably survive an earthquake.

The reformer? Looks like a medieval bed frame. Functions like one to,o except with better lighting and pastel straps.
