Journal
Journaling has been shown to lower stress, boost creativity, and even improve your memory. It’s like a workout for your mind, minus the sweat.
Okay, journaling is basically like having a heart-to-heart with your brain… but on paper. It’s part therapist, part dream catcher, and part goal-setting guru, all rolled into one magical habit.
Start with a simple prompt like “Today I feel…” or “What I’m grateful for…” and just roll with it. You’ll be amazed at what flows out when you give your mind a little breathing room.
Water intake
Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning, before coffee, emails, or scrolling. It’ll wake you up better than a splash of cold water to the face (and it’s way less shocking).
You are 60% water, so it only makes sense to treat yourself like the hydrated goddess (or king) you are. Think of it this way: if your brain is Wi-Fi, then water is the connection. No water? Slow, glitchy, buffering you. And nobody has time for that.
Drinking enough water every day is like giving your body a little internal spa treatment. Clearer skin? Check. More energy? Double-check. Less brain fog and cranky vibes? Absolutely.
And no, you don’t have to chug a gallon in one go and pretend you’re in a hydration Olympics. Start simple: keep a cute water bottle nearby, set reminders, or flavor your water with fruits like lemon and berries. Water = life. And hydration? That’s a daily habit glow-up you don’t want to skip.
Meditation
Don’t roll your eyes yet… this step changed my life. Especially at night. I spend 20 minutes of my day putting my brain at ease. Why? Well, it’s so beneficial. I think of meditation as a pause button I didn’t know i needed.
This little habit will improve your mood.
I like to think of meditation as mental decluttering. All you need is a few minutes of quiet space and your breath.
I have found that over time, medication helps with how I react, how I breathe, and I feel way more grounded in my truth.

Personal time
You deserve time just for you. Not for work, errands, or laundry. Deal with later. Personal time is so important.
This is where it gets so tricky, though. You have to keep yourself accountable because the goal is to recharge, reconnect, and remind yourself that life isn’t just about productivity.
Give yourself that space to be unable even to yourself.
Spend time with loved ones.
This is one of my top five have-tos. Nothing fills up my cup more than laughing with some of my besties or when I am having little dance parties in the kitchen with my babies. Time with loved ones is like vitamin C for sure.
And no, it doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Try movie nights, park walks, and FaceTime.
Put your phone down while you’re with them. Give the people you love the full, unedited present you. Connection is everything, and quality time is one of the best habits you can build.
Schedule/ respect your time.
Boundaries + planning = a life that runs smoother, feels lighter, and leaves room for all the good stuff.
Wanna feel like a boss? Start treating your time like it’s the hottest ticket in town because, honestly, it is.
Planning your day gives you clarity, control, and a serious confidence boost. It helps you say “yes” to what matters and “no” to energy-draining chaos. If you use a paper planner, a Google calendar, or post-it notes stuck to every surface in your house (no judgment), get in the habit of mapping things out.
But here’s the kicker: once it’s on the schedule, respect it. That “me time,” workout, or coffee break? It’s a legitimate appointment. Show up for it like you’d show up for your best friend because that’s exactly who you’re doing it for: you.

Read 10 minutes a day.
Reading reduces stress, boosts focus, and makes you feel smarter than everyone else when random trivia comes up. Win-win-win.
Reading for just 10 minutes a day is like feeding your brain a little gourmet snack. It doesn’t matter if it’s a fantasy novel, a self-help book, or a juicy memoir; what matters is that you’re reading.
Ten minutes may not seem like much, but it adds up. That’s over 60 hours of reading a year! And if you say you’re “too busy,” I see that screen time report, you have ten minutes. Even if it’s in line at the coffee shop or right before bed.
Moring routine
A good morning routine sets the tone for your entire day. You like to journal, stretch, sip coffee in silence, blast music while brushing your teeth, or hype yourself up in the mirror; create a vibe that gets you excited to own your day.
Even 15 intentional minutes in the morning can change everything. Start small. Pick 2–3 feel-good things and make them your ritual. You don’t need to wake up at 5 a.m. and run a marathon. Just find your version of a peaceful, powerful start.
Nightly routine
Stay off screens for 30 minutes before bed. I know, I know, it’s hard. But your sleep quality will level up big time. And better sleep = better everything.
Your brain needs a “Hey, the day is over” signal, and that’s exactly what a nightly routine is for. It’s like tucking your day in with a blanket and telling it, “Thanks for your service, we’ll try again tomorrow.”
Wind down with intention. That could mean skincare, a hot shower, chamomile tea, reading, light stretching, or journaling your thoughts so they don’t chase you into your dreams. Whatever slows your roll and tells your body it’s time to chill.
Make your bed
Studies show that people who make their beds in the morning are more likely to stick to other positive habits throughout the day. It’s the snowball effect, but make it cozy.
Making your bed is the ultimate underrated life hack. It’s like telling the universe, “I’ve got my life together,” even if the rest of your room looks like a laundry explosion.
It takes 60 seconds, max, and it sets the tone for productivity, pride, and peace. You come home after a long day, and BOOM, your bed is there, looking all crisp and inviting, like a Pinterest photo. Instant mood boost.

Start a savingings
Saving regularly teaches you discipline, builds confidence, and makes you feel in control. It’s giving “grown and glowing.”
Financial wellness = self-care, and starting a savings habit is like giving your future self a big, warm hug. You’re saving for a dream vacay, a rainy day, or just to not panic when surprise bills pop up; this habit empowers you.
And don’t worry; you don’t need to stash away thousands to make it count. Start small. $5 a week. $20 a paycheck. Set it on autopilot and forget it. Before you know it, you’ve built a mini financial cushion, and THAT feels good.
Take vitamins
Think of vitamins as your body’s backup crew. You might eat well (ish), but life happens, and sometimes your body needs a little extra support.
From energy-boosting B12 to immunity-loving vitamin C, there’s something magical about starting your day with those little’ power pellets. Not sure where to start? A basic multivitamin is a great first step (and talk to your doc if you’re unsure what’s best for you!).
Make it fun: set a reminder, pair it with breakfast, or get one of those cute pill organizers like you’re starring in your wellness montage. Your body will thank you with more energy, better moods, and stronger vibes all around.
Work out 2 hrs a week.
Schedule it like a date with yourself. Show up. Feel the endorphins. Strut out like you just saved the world.
Two hours a week? That’s doable. That’s like… four 30-minute dance parties, a couple of long walks with your favorite playlist, or a few fun YouTube workouts in your living room.
Movement doesn’t have to be punishment. It should feel like freedom. Like letting your body say, “Hey, I’m alive, and I’m STRONG.” Whether it’s yoga, swimming, roller skating, lifting, or chasing your toddler in circles, get that body groovin’.
Put your phone down and touch some grass.
We’re all a little too chronically online. Scrolling is fun until your eyeballs feel dry and your brain is fried. Enter: nature. The OG therapist, creative spark, and mood stabilizer.
